It's been a while but...

I have lots of pictures!!! They finished the outside of the house with brick, siding, and stone. The stone is beautiful and I can't wait for them to get the shutters on. They also painted the inside, installed flooring in the mudroom, laundry room and bathrooms. We also now have cabinets up in the kitchen and laundry room. I'm loving my cabinets. Guardian has been through and installed the sensors for the security system and speakers in the bonus room. They did make one oops with one of the speakers but I'm sure it will be fixed. The house is coming together beautifully. Here are some pics of the past few days.

    1. Thank you! I absolutely love how the stone turned out. The back is actually brick, but the colors match so well it could be hard to tell in the pictures.

  4. Thanks! We really liked the rounded stone when we chose it, but really didn't know how nice it would look until it was on. Our community requires brick wrap on the sides and back and full brick or stone on the front. Glad you liked it. :)

  5. I'm jealous of how much your brick wraps around on the back. It looks fantastic!

  7. It's coming along so beautifully! I'm impressed with the full stone front! We couldn't get them to do that for us, at any cost. Weird, isn't it?

  8. Love the stone front and brick siding combination. Beautiful selection and great look.
We went with brick front because we have not seen any stone that really stood out, until now!

But how did you get Ryan Homes to do brick all around? That was not an option for us at all with the Victoria Falls (which seems to be what you are building). Am I missing something?

I will be following your progress for pointers! I am just starting to blog at http://palmervillage.blogspot.com/

    1. Thank you! We originally had chosen a more squared stone, but after seeing some of the rounded stone decided to change. We really like how it turned out in combination with the brick and siding. Our community requires a brick wrap to go around all sides of the houses half way up so that is how we got the brick all the way around. We feel pretty lucky that they require this. I checked out your blog. I like the selections you've chosen. Can't wait to see how everything comes together. :)

    3. You know, it took me a while to believe this is a Victoria Falls you are building.. never mind the pictures and the name of the blog that confirm it as a Victoria Falls! Even when I posted above, I still was not sure this is the same house I am building. This wrap around brick.. Wow. Amazing transformation of the house, completely in a different league now.

Where are you building at? I want to ask my SR if this is doable in my community (chances are he'll come back with a Yes and an outrageous price tag).. But this is officially the best looking Victoria Falls I have ever seen from outside..

Glad to see you got the bonus room too (we negotiated to get the bonus bedroom and full bath and closet instead of a finished basement offer). That we also gets a loft only sweetens the deal and adds that much more direct sunlight into the house.. Either way, this room above the garage adds lots of space and makes the house compete with the big boys.. (I am looking at you Jefferson Square, Avalon, Courtland Gate and Waverly)!

    5. We are building in the Centerville area. We are really glad we chose to add the bonus room. I'm loving the extra square footage it adds.

    6. Thanks for the update. Just heard back from our SR. He agrees that it looks very nice but says it is not offered in north east Ohio, mostly on the east coast and down south.. oh well, at least I won't drive past one of these on my street and die of jealousy!
